Book Club Fun!

In humanities we were reading a book called Puzzling World of Winston Breen.
When we finished the book, we could made a board game, a Movie Poster, or a comic strip. My group chose a board game based off of Monopoly, except you want to find the key to the chest instead of money. We were graded on summary and character description as well as artwork and working together. I feel like we did really well, and I had a lot of fun doing it.

Midwest Region

This week in class, we are learning about the Midwest Region. There are many great tourist attractions in the Midwest and many states, states like: Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North and South Dakota, Ohio, and Wisconsin. A total of twelve states in the Midwest and a lot of sightseeing. My favorite place in the Midwest Region is the Mall of America in Bloomington, Minnesota. I will enjoy learning more about the Midwest Region!

Welcome to Mrs. Zumwalt’s 4th Grade class blog. These are the thing we’ve been doing this week. In class we’ve been working on picking a topic and researching the topic. Now today, Jan.31st, we have completed our research, and are now putting the research into paragraphs. Last week we had a word study test on Friday. We are currently studying the Southeast Region. We’ve read some chapters about the Southeast Region’s agriculture, and found some songs that were either the Blues, Bluegrass, Dixie Jazz, and even some Cajun music.  We got to dance to some of the music and everybody had so much fun!  Later that class time some people looked up and wrote down some Southeast Regional food recipes.  I sure hope we get to try some of these!
